Mungin, Meyn Show the Way in Tour Modifieds

Givoanni Mungin and Taylor Meyn are quickly making their bids to become NASCAR iRacing.com Tour Modified champions in 2012 Season One as they both took weekly wins in the past two rounds of the series. Mungin was the top driver when the series went to the Richmond International Speedway while Meyn was the main man in Round Three’s visit to  Lanier National Speedway. Both sim racers are looking for their first NiTM overall title. Mungin’s win for the week at Richmond actually came by way of a second place run to Derrick Cormier2 in a 3962 Strength of Field race on February 8th. The 100-lap race featured four cautions and saw Cormier2 lead a quarter of the laps in the event. Mungin was second, followed to the line by David [...]

Lambert Leads Lates out of SoBo

It’s pretty hard to beat the numbers put up on the board by Mark Lambert in the first two weeks of the iRacing.com Late Model Tour.  After all, Lambert has started eleven races in the two weeks and has won in all eleven of those starts! To add to that, when all the dust settled from the first two weeks of sim racing at Lanier National and South Boston Speedways, Lambert held the lead in the standings in a highly competitive series that saw nearly a thousand sim racers take to the virtual asphalt for each of the first two rounds of the series. While Lambert won seven races during the first week at Lanier, the amount of races and strength of field in those races affected his point position [...]
